International Missions Church Erfurt

About us

 

 

The International Missions Church of Erfurt is a non-denominational church. Its members come from different nationalities, but have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world. Non-denominational church means that we are a community of believers in Jesus Christ who are joined together by a spiritual rebirth (see Bible: Gospel of John, chapter 3, verses 3-6, and letter to Titus, chapter 3, verses 4-5). We do not belong to another church community. The basis of our faith and everyday life is the Bible alone. Our church services are in both English and German.

 

Our mission statement is :

We want to be an open community that offers people the opportunity to know Jesus Christ and accompanies them in their lives.

 

Key points of our faith are :

- We believe that Jesus came as " the Way, the Truth and the Life " in the world.

- We believe in His substitutionary death on the cross as his work for the redemption of men from their sin.

- We believe in His shed blood on the cross as the only means of reconciliation with God .

- We believe in His bodily resurrection.

- We believe that Jesus Christ will come again .

- We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and God's Spirit is God's power .

- We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit as the Advisor, which is given to believers by God.

-We believe that the Holy Spirit shows people their sins.

- We believe that we have the Holy Spirit that reveals spiritual things and has power to perform miracles and heal people by people according to God's will.

What We Do

We meet at various events in the community rooms and apartments. You are cordially invited to attend.

- Church Services followed by an opportunity to fellowship and children's hour during the service: every Sunday, from 3pm to about  5pm

- Bible Cafe (Bible study with coffee drinking): every Thursday, from 3pm to about 5pm clock

- House Groups (planned)
